Women's Global Leadership Summit (International Conference on Women’s Global Leadership)
entitled "What role university education plays in leadership training?"
Summary:
- The Center will hold the 3rd Women's Global Leadership Summit (International Conference on Women’s Global Leadership) on February 6, 2016. This 3rd installment focuses on what is the roles of university education in leadership training.
- It is said that we have fewer female leaders in Japan compared to other countries. Why are female leaders relatively hard to emerge and be accepted in Japan? This summit gives you an opportunity to think about these together with your female predecessors who have made international career with their leadership.
- Ms. Etsuko Okajima is president at ProNova (Inc.), consultant in enhancing management team, headhunter, professional of leadership development, and has written many books.
- Ms. Pia Moberg is senior lecturer at University of Gothenburg, Sweden (Department of Languages & Literatures), specializing in intercultural communication and leadership education, and Japanese culture and society. She offers training on intercultural business communication and Japanese cultures in many companies.
- Ms. Tomoko Maruyama is Assistant Professor at Ehime University (Institute for education and student support). She specializes in leadership, project management, and education development. Having been a consultant of project management, she is currently engaged in capacity development of faculty and staff to raise the level of higher education, and leadership education.
- Kazumi Tsukada (professor, the head of Global Leadership Institute, Ochanomizu University) moderates the panel discussion.
- The summit welcomes your participation, especially at the Q & A session.
