Qualifications | The applicant must fulfill the requirements for both (1) and (2) below. Furthermore, the applicant must be a female who a) does not hold Japanese citizenship and b) either possesses, or is able to obtain a Status of Residence of “College Student” according to the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act.
Individuals who have graduated from a Japanese high school or hold an equivalent or higher qualification in Japan must apply according to the admission procedures for Japanese applicants. |
Screening Method |
Applicants (except for those applying to the Department of Physics) will take the Ochanomizu University Entrance Examination. The results of this exam will be considered in conjunction with other submitted documents including the results of the Examination for Japanese University Admission and the transcript from the last school attended. Candidates for the Department of Physics will be considered based on submitted documents including results of the Examination for Japanese University Admission, the TOEFL score, and the transcript from the last school attended. |

Notes | Lectures for undergraduate programs at Ochanomizu University are conducted in Japanese. Individuals who wish to enroll as an undergraduate student must acquire sufficient competence in Japanese prior to admission. Interested applicants should confirm whether they meet the conditions to apply to Ochanomizu University. |

Note that the scope of math questions covers Mathematics Ⅰ, Mathematics Ⅱ, Mathematics Ⅲ, Mathematics A (Plane Figures, Integers, Possible Outcomes and Probabilities), and Mathematics B (Sequences, Vectors)

Every faculty (except for the Department of Physics in the Faculty of Science) will administer an oral exam.
For Department of Physics candidates, Ochanomizu University does not require candidates to take the academic achievement test. However, a TOEFL examination is required.
Test Results arriving at Ochanomizu University between April 1, 2015 and November 30, 2015 will be considered.
